She’s always got a plan, but being hijacked and finding love in the process wasn’t part of it.

As an event planner, Gillian Romano’s an expert at rolling with the punches and solving unexpected problems. But her flight getting hijacked while returning from a job is definitely out of her skill set. Passengers are being murdered, and when she’s chosen by the terrorists to be their mouthpiece, even more innocent lives rest on Gillian’s shoulders. Only the calm, reassuring voice on the other end of the line keeps her sane, forging a bond with a stranger she’s never seen but trusts with her life.

Walker “Trigger” Nelson and his Delta Force team have spent years training for close-quarter hostage rescue. When they get called to South America to attempt to save an airplane full of hostages, he doesn’t expect to meet a woman who rocks his world in the middle of the op. Gillian’s cool head and bravery in the face of certain terror—and possible death—blows him away. Any outcome that doesn’t include Gillian leaving that plane alive and well is not an option.

After their safe return to Texas, both Trigger and Gillian are excited to find out if their instant chemistry can survive the real world. Neither realizing that someone isn’t happy with the outcome of the hijacking, and is watching, waiting, for a second chance to strike.

** Shielding Gillian is the 1st book in the Delta Team Two Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

  • Fantastic

Great story and lots of action. I enjoyed reading this story and the characters.
  • Not believable/ Lost interest easily

I felt the author over did it on the “F bombs” by chapter 2. This showed me the author struggles to illustrate aggression using her vocabulary. During a hostage standoff, negotiators hopefully are less talky talky. Couldn’t get beyond Ch 2.

    Great read
  • Immature at best

I tried but just couldn’t finish this. The dialogue is ridiculous and at a first grade level emotionally. Could have been a good book but was trying too hard for the Aloha male thing.
  • Obsessed is an understatement

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end! I don’t know what I want more, to be more like Di or find a Walker of my own. The storyline & character relationships were amazing & I couldn’t stop reading this book. It’s definitely a book I’ll be buying a paper copy of to add to my book collection. Hands down now apart of my top three favorite books! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!

Great story! Easy and fun to read!
  • Good but has “I’m not like other girls” energy

    By MegiReview
The book was really good and I enjoyed their journey, but I found Gillian’s “I’m not like other girls” discussion annoying. If that was taken out and other women weren’t put down for her to feel better than them, I would have given 5 stars.
