The sexy, action-packed first book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Court of Thorns and Roses series from Sarah J. Maas.

When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.

At least, he's not a beast all the time.

As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.

From bestselling author Sarah J. Maas comes a seductive, breathtaking book that blends romance, adventure, and faerie lore into an unforgettable read.

  • Best Book & Series You Will Ever Read

    By Tori Judah
This book consumed me. It is written in such detail that you truly live the story along with Feyre - you feel the joy, the stress, the romance, the grief, the love, the fear, the adventure, the guilt, and every emotion in between. I could not put it down! The entire series is the same way, the characters and complexity will capture your heart. You HAVE to read it!
  • pacing?

    By tismejo
this book is all over the place. the pacing is insane, and I had the hardest time with some of the "logic" and none of the characters grew or changed very much of their own, everything is granted. felt like a bad twist on beauty and the beast. that being said the two steamy scenes are nice.

It has been so long since I have completely engrossed myself into another world. This book allowed me to do that again. I was obsessed. It was almost unhealthy how little sleep I got during the week I read this bc I could not put it down!
  • Good, but not very spicy

    By katlessner
This book was well written and an interesting concept. First half is a little slow and over all it’s not very spicy. But if you enjoy great fantasy writing, adventure and light romance you will enjoy this book.
  • Very good

The book is a bit slow but the romance was wonderful. The second half of the book takes a dark turn so don’t get your hopes up.

Wow…. I’m so glad I found this series. It is probably my favorite series by far!!! I read the whole series in a week. I couldn’t for the life of me put the books down. It has everything… spicy romance, suspense, action, and plot twists to knock you around & around again. 10/10 recommend
