Description

The hottest player on the Moo U hockey team hangs a flyer on the bulletin board, and I am spellbound:
Rent a boyfriend for the holiday. For $25, I will be your Thanksgiving date. I will talk hockey with your dad. I will bring your mother flowers. I will be polite, and wear a nicely ironed shirt…
Everyone knows it’s a bad idea to introduce your long-time crush to your messed-up family. But I really do need a date for Thanksgiving, even if I’m not willing to say why. So I tear his phone number off of that flyer… and accidentally entangle our star defenseman in a ruse that neither of us can easily unwind.
Because Weston's family is even nuttier than mine. He needs a date, too, for the most uncomfortable holiday engagement party ever thrown.
There will be hors d'oeuvre. There will be faked PDA. And there will be pro-level awkwardness…
Boyfriend is a full-length book for Weston and Abbi!

I always enjoy the character development in Sarina’s books. The fun details and Vermont twist. One of these days I actually need to go to Vermont. Great read.

Loved this book! Even though I had read the original short version, Sarina expanded it to even more fabulous results. It is full of her trademark humor and steamy swooniness.

4.5 STARS Weston and Abbi are such extremely likable characters. Their banter, inner monologues and conversations made me smile, laugh and feel ridiculously happy. The story was like a soft, warm, fuzzy blanket for my emotions. This authors stories are like comfort food for my mind and soul. I had no problem feeling for the characters. It was so easy to like them, respect them and root for them. The wit and banter is great! The writing is extremely clever. It really was such a fun read! Not over the top, the perfect balance of funny and also emotional. The characters are multi dimensional, they are facing realistic issues in life. They both have complicated family dynamics, it’s what brought them together initially. They see each other’s struggles/complications, and I think it bonds them in a way, makes them really care about each other early on. I love the mix of tropes in this book. It’s fake dating, then friends, then friends with benefits.. hopefully more for that happily ever after ;) These two had incredible chemistry! I loved their interactions so much! The tension and build up was great. They are very sexy and HOT when they get together! They are fun, good people. And that’s not code for nice and boring at all! They are so entertaining, I just love them so much! The secondary characters are great additions and I loved them all as well. The Vermont flavor is always fun in this series and authors books. The sports/hockey aspect is there. It doesn’t take front and center of the story. It’s an incredibly fun, entertaining and touching college romance. I absolutely loved it!

I'm really obsessed with all things Sarina Bowen and The World of True North has been nothing short of amazing. Somehow I missed all of the Moo U books though which is an absolute travesty because these characters are AWESOME!! Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke killed it as Abby and Weston. This audio is all the things: funny, emotional, swoony, and engaging. I definitely wanted to abandon all responsibilities and just listen straight through. I'm definitely going to be searching for a book for Weston's brother, Stevie, and adding all the Moo U series to my TBR!!!
