Line of Fire brings to life a desperate mission of World War 2 that captures the drama and courage of the men who fought it.

Two Marines, reporting on Japanese air activity, are trapped on a small Coastwatcher island. A special rescue team is assembled to save them—under enemy gunsight. It is an exciting and powerful story of real heroism that only W.E.B. Griffin could tell...

Love all of W.E.B. Griffin’s books. The only negative comment I have is that he continues to take sentences, paragraph, even multiple pages from one book & repeats them, VERBATIM, in the subsequent book.
  • Mix of good and bad

    By Reed4u
Good: A mix of characters woven into the WW II historical timeline. All protagonists are brash and, of course, gifted and successful. I couldn’t help but, identify with them (wishfully), and be entertained by them. Bad: A lot of cliches about men and women. After a while, this can be tiring. Overall: An entertaining read, and I must confess, a guilty pleasure.
