Description

Poet tells of a talking raven's mysterious visit to a distraught lover, tracing the man's slow fall into madness. The lover, often identified as being a student, is lamenting the loss of his love, Lenore. Sitting on a bust of Pallas, the raven seems to further instigate his distress with its constant repetition of the word "Nevermore". The poem makes use of a number of folk and classical references.

It was okay. Cool imagery. Spooky-ooky, ya know? Had to read it in a British dialect. Felt like a depressed, sleep-deprived Dr. Seuss. I was like, "is this guy hydrated?". Anyway, it's short -- decent read if you're waiting in line at the DMV.

I didnt quite understand the meaning of the words because it’s a classic but nevertheless the theme of the poem is good and creative i like the idea of a raven and the symbolic meaning of it. Well done Poe.
