“Very few authors have the power to make you laugh on one page and cry on the next. Moyes is one of them.” —The New York Times

A story of mix-ups, mess-ups and making the most of second chances, this is the new novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Jojo Moyes, author of Me Before You and The Giver of Stars

Who are you when you are forced to walk in someone else’s shoes?

Nisha Cantor lives the globetrotting life of the seriously wealthy, until her husband announces a divorce and cuts her off. Nisha is determined to hang onto her glamorous life. But in the meantime, she must scramble to cope--she doesn’t even have the shoes she was, until a moment ago, standing in.

That’s because Sam Kemp – in the bleakest point of her life – has accidentally taken Nisha’s gym bag. But Sam hardly has time to worry about a lost gym bag--she’s struggling to keep herself and her family afloat. When she tries on Nisha’s six-inch high Christian Louboutin red crocodile shoes, the resulting jolt of confidence that makes her realize something must change—and that thing is herself.

Full of Jojo Moyes’ signature humor, brilliant storytelling, and warmth, Someone Else’s Shoes is a story about how just one little thing can suddenly change everything.

  • Not my cup of tea but good book.

This is what I call a “life book”. A day in the story of someone’s life or struggles. This is not my cup of tea. For what it is, still a good book. Finish reading the book but I prefer my murder mysteries more.

Couldn’t make it more than 40 pages through … horrible storyline, not worth your time
  • Someone Else’s Shoes

I enjoyed the intricate weaving of the characters and how they were brought into the story, each with their own troubles and challenges and how, in the end, they were able to resolve those issues helping each other with significant risk factors. Lessons learned by all.
  • Not as good as her other books

I actually enjoyed this book. I had read some of the reviews and wasn’t worried it wouldn’t be very good. I enjoyed the storyline it kept me very engaged.
  • Fun and empowering

I like how the characters evolved and honestly reflected on their flaws and grew in their strengths. The characters are relatable and lovable. I really enjoyed it.
  • Started great but dragged on and on and on…

    By molrud
I like this author, but this book just kept rambling on and on. If consolidated and simplified I would have enjoyed it much more.
  • Her others are so much better

    By VacayReader
I couldn’t find a character to like. The story line was silly and the ending just predictably boring. Was ready for this one to end.
  • Slooooooow

    By Andrealynnstuartfarris
It was a fun idea for a book but it was so boring that I couldn’t connect with the characters. I skimmed the last hundred pages just to finish. Cute ending but not worth the time reading it to get there.
