Description

Read the #1 New York Times bestselling thriller Invisible, then continue the series with Unsolved.
Everyone thinks Emmy Dockery is crazy. Obsessed with finding the link between hundreds of unsolved cases, Emmy has taken leave from her job as an FBI researcher. Now all she has are the newspaper clippings that wallpaper her bedroom, and her recurring nightmares of an all-consuming fire.

Not even Emmy's ex-boyfriend, field agent Harrison "Books" Bookman, will believe her that hundreds of kidnappings, rapes, and murders are all connected. That is, until Emmy finds a piece of evidence he can't afford to ignore. More murders are reported by the day--and they're all inexplicable. No motives, no murder weapons, no suspects. Could one person really be responsible for these unthinkable crimes?

INVISIBLE is James Patterson's scariest, most chilling thriller yet.

I never leave reviews. This is a must read. It’s been years since I’ve read a book that I was truly excited to read. I’m almost afraid to read the next book in the series. I’m afraid it won’t measure up to this one. However, I am going to read it and find out firsthand.

4/5 stars. A little far-fetched with the plot. But, with interesting twists and turns. Hal

I always enjoy reading James Patterson’s novels. As with all of his books, it is well paced. My only gripe is how completely unlikable the protagonist is in this one.

Always been a Patterson fan, and this falls right in line with his better work. Superb attention to detail around the criminal aspects of the storyline, which give great depth and color to both the characters and the plot. The interjections of the chapters of ‘Graham Sessions’ became somewhat of a chore to read through but eventually serve their purpose expertly in diverting attention and setting up the inevitable plot twist at the end. In fact, it’s a rather ingenious method of misdirection for the reader. My only gripes with the book manifested late into the storyline; there is a rather obvious diversion that seems somewhat forced in the character of Jim. A completely understood effort, but his character overall is cliche and his literary function is forced. Secondly, I was looking for additional resolution on the romantic storyline, but any Patterson reader would know that to be unlikely. In the end, one of the better books I’ve read as of late and would certainly recommend to any crime thriller fiction fan.
