Swift is a programming language for creating iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS apps. Swift builds on the best of C and Objective-C, without the constraints of C compatibility. Swift adopts safe programming patterns and adds modern features to make programming easier, more flexible, and more fun. Swift’s clean slate, backed by the mature and much-loved Cocoa and Cocoa Touch frameworks, is an opportunity to reimagine how software development works.

This book provides:
- A tour of the language.
- A detailed guide delving into each language feature.
- A formal reference for the language.

  • Why did this selection get downloaded from Safari?

    By Trade Secrets
Nonsense! I must of accidentally from Safari looking for a PDF document related to the Dominican Religious Order and this document of over 1,000 pages was downloaded to MyBooks. I tried to delete from my iPhone and it went into my iCloud account and then shows up as “BUY” on my MyBooks. Trying to delete it is showing up as a ghost in my iCloud account! I am accusing this nonsense to a conspiracy by Apple! Get this crap out of my life!

  • Basic Knowledge Required

    By Habhu
Written by someone extremely knowledgeable about Swift. But not knowledgeable about how to convey that knowledge to someone who knows nothing about Swift. F or instance, what does “(_:_:)” mean, or stand for? I want to learn, not be impressed.
