From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Starts with Us and It Ends with Us, a novel about risking everything for love—and finding your heart somewhere between the truth and lies.

At age twenty-one, Auburn Reed has already lost everything important to her. In her fight to rebuild her shattered life, she has her goals in sight and there is no room for mistakes. But when she walks into a Dallas art studio in search of a job, she doesn’t expect to find a deep attraction to the enigmatic artist who works there, Owen Gentry.

For once, Auburn takes a chance and puts her heart in control, only to discover that Owen is keeping a major secret from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.

To save their relationship, all Owen needs to do is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin.

This book was an easy read, I finished in two days! I was in desperate need of a little love story pick me up and this book checked that box. Definitely worth the read, Colleen Hoover does not miss!
  • Insipid

I have read other books by this author and I thought they were well written. This one is filled with too much insipid romance and is so slow. I put it down on page 200 and could not finish it.

Read this in a day! Loved how the story told both auburn and owen's side of the story. Their connection made me so teary eyed. It definitely made me believe their is such a thing as fate out there. Definitely worth the read!

I must write this review because I’m a huge fan of Colleen’s. I respect her efforts but this book was very hard to get through. It’s boring and the story really could’ve been a short story. The ending was the best part. It took 10 days to finish because I wasn’t excited to read, like I normally am with her books.there’s a lot of repetition. A lot of wasted pages. Ready verity or November 9 instead!

Another great read by Hoover. Much less intense than other books of hers and this can be great for a book club!
